Kickstart!

For my master's thesis I wish to do research and a project regarding psychotherapy and health-related behavior change, since I often find in medical research, that these go hand in hand.
My interest was first sparked when I came across an article by Sadaf Sajjad about a first-person shooter (FPS) guided image therapy (GIT) game that was targeted toward children with brain tumors. My interest was sparked because I am a huge fan of FPS games, and I am aware that many women suffer from brain tumors because someone in my family is very involved with this issue. "What if a similar game could be applied to the different audience of middle-aged women?" I thought. Since then, I have realized that designing a game such as this is not realistic for a master's thesis, but for a PhD thesis. Even so, I am enthusiastic that a project like this could be a goal or an eventuality to be worked toward sometime in the future.
Henceforth, I am creating this blog as a place where I can organize my research findings in the pursuit of finding a suitable master's thesis topic related to psychotherapy, health-related behavior change, or some other means of designing games for the hypothetical diagnosis or treatment of illnesses.
